The talk will cover fundamental aspects of the law, what UGA is doing to support NAGPRA compliance, and the importance of tribal consultation. The University of Georgia's Laboratory of Archaeology has been lauded as a model example for best practices as institutions work toward compliance with this federal law. We will also hold a panel discussion about NAGPRA on November 20 during Native American Heritage month, details will be announced soon.
