Decatur Council unanimously voted to remove a cannon tied to the 1836 Indian War from a city square where it has resided for more than a century. "Public art should unite and heal us instead of sowing division," said Phillip Cuffey of the Beacon Hill Black Alliance for Human Rights. Read the Indian Country Today article.
