Image: All In-Na-Po Friends— The Montana Book Festival, Poetry Northwest, the Beargrass Writing Retreat, and the University of Montana, celebrated Brendan Basham, one of the two James Welch Prize winners. The James Welch Prize is awarded to an Indigenous U.S. poet for two outstanding poems. Brendan, who was judged by several Board members of In-Na-Po, joined the prize judge, Dine poet Sherwin Bitsui for a reading and Heather Cahoon for a conversation on September 16, 2021.
