Thomas Kole recently published this digital Portrait of the Aztec City as it would have appeared in 1521 when Hernán Cortéz's Spanish army invaded. The research and rendering of this digital tour took nearly 2 years and provides the most realistic virtual tour of Tenochtitlan in five centuries.
